Team Nexus is proud to choose the AIDS Society of Kamloops (ASK) as its “charity of choice for the Race To A Million.  ASL is a local agency that is dedicated to helping those in need in our community. The mandate of ASK has broadened to include providing awareness, education, advocacy, housing, and support related to HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, marginalization and persons at risk, in order to develop healthier communities. Following the agencies guiding principles of harm reduction, client centered and social justice; the staff and volunteers of ASK are involved in addressing the needs of our communities’ most vulnerable population.

I do, and I think we’ll be the first ones to do so. We’ve done a lot of planning, and are ready for rapid execution.

What gives your group an advantage over others?
We’re a perfect storm of expertise. I remember sitting in the meeting where Peter and Dean were explaining the contest and getting a sidelong glance from Investor X. We had both realized at the same time that our group was a business making machine.  We run the full gamut from formally educated business consultants to self-taught business mercenaries. Together we’re like that thing the Power Rangers turned into. Unstoppable.

What else would you like people to know?
Every story needs a mystery, in this story that’s team Nexus. What won’t be mysterious are the strategies we use to win. You’ll see a wide range of investments here, well explained, that will culminate in delicious victory. (The winner gets cake, right?)

All the way to $1,000,000? That’s a 20,000% return for the year. I’d say it will be pretty tough to get that kind of return…. But we are mysterious, and we have mysterious ways.

What gives your group an advantage over others?
We have no delusions about what this is or what we are doing. A strong collection of varied skills and training make us an unstoppable force of intrigue.

We’re thinking on a larger scale than our competitors. Wait until you see what we launch with – I think even our competitors will be tempted to help us.

What is most exciting about being a part of the first ever Race to a Million? What are you most looking forward to?
The most exciting part for me is getting to work with the powerhouse group that is Team Nexus. We think big and have a great time planning our next moves.
